Foreword by the Publisher to the 2^nd Edition

This edition of the pre-publication of Operation Twins II, 2006 is being made available to potential visitors of the Willehalm Institute Press Foundation booth on May 18 on the occasion of the grand World Book Market held that day in the old center of Amsterdam. It was first published in a limited edition of 100 copies on September 15, 2006 and presented at a Mega 9/11 Conference in Utrecht organized by Jimmy Walter and Co. and later put on the internet (www.willehalm.nl/ot2.html) with an appeal for financial assistance in order to publish the remaining parts of this trilogy, an appeal which was not heeded. Neither was the request to the US government to return Operation Twins to its author Slobodan Mitric answered. Operation Twins I, published in 2005 with 21 appendices of newspaper articles and official documents on the author’s life and work as a former Yugoslav contra-espionage agent and world director of Reserve Police International, did not fare much better. It was all but boycotted and more than a thousand copies remain unsold.

Of course, this only serves to indicate that lone voices crying out in the wilderness do not get much of a hearing in the mainstream cultural climate of our day, especially a ‘reality novel’ predicting i.e. forewarning that World War III was scheduled to begin at the end of the former millennium. Yet there are a few hopeful signs on the horizon that this picture may slowly be changing. One such development will be mentioned briefly in this foreword.

Webster Tarpley, author of 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA, gives credence to this scenario laid out in Operation Twins when he writes in his book (p. 449): “This book differs from all studies 9/11 which have been examined so far in the importance that it gives to the US-Russian nuclear forces as the framework in which the 9/11 criminal attacks must be understood (…) Scenarios have suddenly become plausible which lead to general thermonuclear war.” And that the start of WW III was originally planned to happen during the turn of the millennium (but was postponed until September 11, 2001) is not so preposterous anymore as it sounds can be gathered from indications in that direction in the book by L. Wright Al-Qaeda – The Road to 9/11 that apparently also served as a basis for the movie in 2006 with the same title.

The trilogy Operation Twins was originally written back in the eighties in the vivid style of a film scenario, indeed, as it was meant to be, with even the full backing of former Hollywood movie star and then US president Reagan himself, who according to the dedication by author ordered it to be translated from the original Serbian into English. It never reached the big screen, however, thanks to the efforts of the CIA. If it had, 9/11 would probably never have happened. Please help our efforts to get at least the trilogy in print.
